Last week, the most amazing thing ever happened. I couldn’t imagine more spectacular way to celebrate my THOUSANDTH SALE on Etsy. Thanks to my friend Magda, I found out that Christina Aguilera choose Modern Crochet Club hand fan for THE VOICE show. My idea, my design, my crocheting…. and She choose it 🙂
I searched the entire internet to find some photographs from this episode, and I am really proud to share with you my finds.
Here it is, Christina Aguilera in american The Voice with Modern Crochet Club deep red crochet hand fan!!!

I also found the youtube movie with Ellen DeGeneres show, and what is even more amazing, and what is even more amazing. The photos of Christina Aguilera with my hand fan, are not far from photos of Christina with Hillary Clinton. I was thrilled.

Still can’t believe this happened. It gives me so much inspiration for designing new patterns and fills my head with so many new ideas how to use crochet in todays world 🙂
Thanks Magda, for showing me this photos and thanks to Christina, for choosing my hand fan for this big TV show 🙂 And most of all thanks to all my family and friends, who believed that my homemade crocheting is something more than old fashioned doilies and can be used with joy every day now and in the future and can’t be called only granny but also modern (even though, it is inspired by lace doilies) 🙂

Do you remember this bunch of hand fans I made in December? Sheila was so kind and shared her wedding pictures with us 🙂 This was a beautiful wedding at Bahamas, far far away from cold and snow.
Sheila and Jason, I wish you both a lifetime happiness!

I have to say, that Sheila had a great idea to contrast pure whiteness of her dress with the turquoise of the sea of Bridesmaids dresses. I also have to say, that my hand fans recived a perfect background with this blue dresses 😉 I am not modest at all.. shame on me! ;))

Some time ago I bought a polka dot bag. I loved its pattern and even though it would not match anything I had at my wardrobe, I had to buy it 🙂 After all it always can be an interesting eye-catching addition to an ordinary outfit. As I got back home with my new bag, I decided to make a bracelet with this pattern. I can crochet it, so why not ?
I did some research to maybe get the pattern, but all I found was the bracelet with one bead dots, so had to design the pattern of my own.
Here is what came out from the bag to the bracelet 🙂
Polka dot bag
One is always to few for me, so I made another one in negative.
Polka dot double bracelet
And then made matching one with glass pearls and shamballa bead.
Ivory pearl bracelet
I don’t recommand this combination, because shamballa bead scratched some pearl paint from the neighbour pearls while wearing 😦 Now I would use a Swarovski crystal instead of Shamballa or add not painted glass beads between them.
Polka dot ivory bracelet set
Anyway, I love to wear this set 🙂 firs with the bag and now without it, because I had to return it 😦 Unfortunately it turned out to be a really bad quality 😦
Polka dot bracelet set
And what is the best place to crochet a bracelet?? sunny meadow? 🙂 Oh yeees 🙂
Crocheting polka dot bracelet
I am crocheting the black one, but follow the thread to find the ivory one.
Have a great and sunny week 🙂

I made some sparkling sandals for this summer. They are really eye catching while your feet are sinking in the sand on the sunny beach. They are all white, so can be perfect for your beach wedding.
Precious Heart barefoot sandals
I used very thin white mercerized cotton, so they are really comfortable and you don’t even feel while wearing them. I also used some glass beads and some Swarovski crystals to give them some glam 🙂 Beads are not sew on, but woven into the stitches while crocheting. That prevents them from falling off in use.
Simple Swarovski sandals
Precious Flower barefoot sandals
What do you think about this sparkling sandals? Do you like them more or less then the one without beads?
You know what? I just thought, that you can get one of them 🙂 Just like ModernCrochetClub facebook page (you can do it on the right blog bar or through http://www.facebook.com/ModernCrochetClub), leave a comment under the post letting me know which one do you like the most “Precious Heart”, “Precious Flower” or “Simple Swarovski”. Black crochet umbrella
My boyfriend and I were very busy resting during this long free weekend, but we didn’t forget to shoot some needed photos 🙂 We made them just before a storm, on our balcony.
Black crochet parasol
The umbrella is lately made for my etsy shop, and you can reach it by clicking the photos.
It is finally warm and I can wear short sleeves and more and more jewelery 🙂 Everybody can see it, cause it is not hidden under the warm coat. I also found some time to make a couple of bracelets who waited patiently in line, so today I would like to show you my favourite set of bracelets, that I wear all the time this warm days. If it doesnt fit my outfit and stays home, I really miss this rattle sound that it makes on the wrist.
This set contains of a bracelet that I made from Swarovski Pearls in gray. I added Swarovski round crystal in black and 2 metal separators with little Swarovski crystals too. It is all put together on a rubber cord and works really fine like this.
Swarovski pearls bracelet
The second part is 2 smaller bracelets made of some cheap gray glass pearls, that I bought very long time ago. They finally become a bracelets with the same rubber cord.
Glass pearls bracelets
And the last, but the most laborious and beautiful bracelet, that my friend Justynka made for me 🙂 THANK YOU! I LOVE IT!!
It consist of 2 ropes made from the tiny toho beads in black and crystal, not that big as I use ;), and has a little black ball made of even smaller beads. Real masterpiece!
Justyna runs an etsy shop called Dobkosia, so you can check her other works there. I think they are worth to do it.
Best regards to all readers 🙂 See you next time!
