I wish you all the best in this New Year! It was a busy beginning, so you have to forgive me this little delay.
As a first design in 2014, I want to show you my first try with triangle barefoot sandals. I hope you will like them a lot, because I still want to think, that the turn of the year is the best time for my new crochet ideas ! As you may remember, my first ever sandals where designed between Christmas and New Year two years ago 🙂
So, here are the triangles.. bermuda triangles maybe 😉
The second pair was made in Mint Green
The same triangle pattern was also used for “gloves”
I also used my previouse Diamond Barefoot Sandals Pattern and with some modifications tried it with Swarovski bicone crystals. Photos during this gray winter does not show it in all its glory, so you just have to believe that it was a good try too 🙂
I promise to make this photos again in a sunny weather, with all the reflections and blinks that Swarovski crystals show us with every move.
I just realized that I did not show you the foot jewelry that Magdalena won in my Giveaway. What a oversight! Shame on me!
Magdalena voted for the Preciouse Heart barefoot sandals, and after a winning she chose them in black. It was the first time I made them black and I think they look really good this way too. So, here they are
I had a great pleasure (and a significant shortness of breath 😉 ) while photographing my friends daughter, with the new baby barefoot sandals designs. Here are some cute shots of this sweet little feet.
People involved in this session: Dobkosia – stylisation, mother support and a lot of back pain next day 😉
Adrianna – cute little feet owner, not even a sight of shortness of breath or tiredness while working ModernCrochetClub.etsy.com – design and making the sandals, photography and sweat on the back + shortness of breath during the session 😉
Some time ago I bought a polka dot bag. I loved its pattern and even though it would not match anything I had at my wardrobe, I had to buy it 🙂 After all it always can be an interesting eye-catching addition to an ordinary outfit. As I got back home with my new bag, I decided to make a bracelet with this pattern. I can crochet it, so why not ?
I did some research to maybe get the pattern, but all I found was the bracelet with one bead dots, so had to design the pattern of my own.
Here is what came out from the bag to the bracelet 🙂
One is always to few for me, so I made another one in negative.
And then made matching one with glass pearls and shamballa bead.
I don’t recommand this combination, because shamballa bead scratched some pearl paint from the neighbour pearls while wearing 😦 Now I would use a Swarovski crystal instead of Shamballa or add not painted glass beads between them.
Anyway, I love to wear this set 🙂 firs with the bag and now without it, because I had to return it 😦 Unfortunately it turned out to be a really bad quality 😦
And what is the best place to crochet a bracelet?? sunny meadow? 🙂 Oh yeees 🙂
I am crocheting the black one, but follow the thread to find the ivory one.
Recently I made this colorful set of barefoot sandals for Mikka’s wedding in September. I love to crochet with colorful yarns, especially after tons of white and ivory that I usually use.
I am really curious how Mikka will compose it with her ivory wedding dress, black bridesmaids dresses, two little flower girls, and several men of course 😉
While looking for some inspiration for this colorful set, I found Lisette Price Photography site (http://lisetteprice.com/) with great photos from wedding of Ian and Jenna. The two crazy photos with the couple and their hilarious bridesmaids and groomsmen were exactly what I was looking as an inspiration and motivation to crochet. They made me smile 🙂 I can’t put this photos here, so you will have to check them by yourself here http://lisetteprice.com/blog/ian-jenna-married.
Black is not gloomy at all, isn’t it? Even for weddings. It is always elegant and also can be realy funny 🙂
I made some sparkling sandals for this summer. They are really eye catching while your feet are sinking in the sand on the sunny beach. They are all white, so can be perfect for your beach wedding.
I used very thin white mercerized cotton, so they are really comfortable and you don’t even feel while wearing them. I also used some glass beads and some Swarovski crystals to give them some glam 🙂 Beads are not sew on, but woven into the stitches while crocheting. That prevents them from falling off in use.
What do you think about this sparkling sandals? Do you like them more or less then the one without beads?
You know what? I just thought, that you can get one of them 🙂 Just like ModernCrochetClub facebook page (you can do it on the right blog bar or through http://www.facebook.com/ModernCrochetClub), leave a comment under the post letting me know which one do you like the most “Precious Heart”, “Precious Flower” or “Simple Swarovski”. Feel free to share it to your friends 🙂 You can do that till June 30th. I’ll draw a winner in first days of July and she/he will recieve a pair of her/his favourite bead sandals from this post.
