I wish you all the best in this New Year! It was a busy beginning, so you have to forgive me this little delay.
As a first design in 2014, I want to show you my first try with triangle barefoot sandals. I hope you will like them a lot, because I still want to think, that the turn of the year is the best time for my new crochet ideas ! As you may remember, my first ever sandals where designed between Christmas and New Year two years ago 🙂
So, here are the triangles.. bermuda triangles maybe 😉
The second pair was made in Mint Green
The same triangle pattern was also used for “gloves”

I also used my previouse Diamond Barefoot Sandals Pattern and with some modifications tried it with Swarovski bicone crystals. Photos during this gray winter does not show it in all its glory, so you just have to believe that it was a good try too 🙂
Swarovski Diamond barefoot sandals
I promise to make this photos again in a sunny weather, with all the reflections and blinks that Swarovski crystals show us with every move.
Have a very Crochet Year, how I plan to have!! 🙂
I just realized that I did not show you the foot jewelry that Magdalena won in my Giveaway. What a oversight! Shame on me!
Magdalena voted for the Preciouse Heart barefoot sandals, and after a winning she chose them in black. It was the first time I made them black and I think they look really good this way too. So, here they are
Some time ago I bought a polka dot bag. I loved its pattern and even though it would not match anything I had at my wardrobe, I had to buy it 🙂 After all it always can be an interesting eye-catching addition to an ordinary outfit. As I got back home with my new bag, I decided to make a bracelet with this pattern. I can crochet it, so why not ?
I did some research to maybe get the pattern, but all I found was the bracelet with one bead dots, so had to design the pattern of my own.
Here is what came out from the bag to the bracelet 🙂
Polka dot bag
One is always to few for me, so I made another one in negative.
Polka dot double bracelet
And then made matching one with glass pearls and shamballa bead.
Ivory pearl bracelet
I don’t recommand this combination, because shamballa bead scratched some pearl paint from the neighbour pearls while wearing 😦 Now I would use a Swarovski crystal instead of Shamballa or add not painted glass beads between them.
Polka dot ivory bracelet set
Anyway, I love to wear this set 🙂 firs with the bag and now without it, because I had to return it 😦 Unfortunately it turned out to be a really bad quality 😦
Polka dot bracelet set
And what is the best place to crochet a bracelet?? sunny meadow? 🙂 Oh yeees 🙂
Crocheting polka dot bracelet
I am crocheting the black one, but follow the thread to find the ivory one.
Have a great and sunny week 🙂

I made some sparkling sandals for this summer. They are really eye catching while your feet are sinking in the sand on the sunny beach. They are all white, so can be perfect for your beach wedding.
Precious Heart barefoot sandals
I used very thin white mercerized cotton, so they are really comfortable and you don’t even feel while wearing them. I also used some glass beads and some Swarovski crystals to give them some glam 🙂 Beads are not sew on, but woven into the stitches while crocheting. That prevents them from falling off in use.
Simple Swarovski sandals
Precious Flower barefoot sandals
What do you think about this sparkling sandals? Do you like them more or less then the one without beads?
You know what? I just thought, that you can get one of them 🙂 Just like ModernCrochetClub facebook page (you can do it on the right blog bar or through http://www.facebook.com/ModernCrochetClub), leave a comment under the post letting me know which one do you like the most “Precious Heart”, “Precious Flower” or “Simple Swarovski”. Feel free to share it to your friends 🙂 You can do that till June 30th. I’ll draw a winner in first days of July and she/he will recieve a pair of her/his favourite bead sandals from this post.
Preciouse barefoot sandals GIVEAWAY
It is finally warm and I can wear short sleeves and more and more jewelery 🙂 Everybody can see it, cause it is not hidden under the warm coat. I also found some time to make a couple of bracelets who waited patiently in line, so today I would like to show you my favourite set of bracelets, that I wear all the time this warm days. If it doesnt fit my outfit and stays home, I really miss this rattle sound that it makes on the wrist.
This set contains of a bracelet that I made from Swarovski Pearls in gray. I added Swarovski round crystal in black and 2 metal separators with little Swarovski crystals too. It is all put together on a rubber cord and works really fine like this.
Swarovski pearls bracelet
The second part is 2 smaller bracelets made of some cheap gray glass pearls, that I bought very long time ago. They finally become a bracelets with the same rubber cord.
Glass pearls bracelets
And the last, but the most laborious and beautiful bracelet, that my friend Justynka made for me 🙂 THANK YOU! I LOVE IT!!
It consist of 2 ropes made from the tiny toho beads in black and crystal, not that big as I use ;), and has a little black ball made of even smaller beads. Real masterpiece!
Justyna runs an etsy shop called Dobkosia, so you can check her other works there. I think they are worth to do it.
Best regards to all readers 🙂 See you next time!
This time I decided to make bead ropes and braid them in the braid. The idea was good, but it was not so easy to join this ropes as I wanted. First I used triple element on each end, which I joined with the heart clasp. It looked ok, but the bracelet was to long for my skinny wrist. I had to remove this element and fix it with rings only ant this was FUN!! I spend about a half an hour to put 3 little rings + clasp ring in another little ring and clench it before they slip out. TWO times 🙂 Now the bracelet is a little bit to tight and I have a problem to fasten the clasp, but decided to wear it for some time and check if the ropes stretch a little before changing anything.
The bracelet was complimented a couple of times, while I was wearing it 🙂 It matches my summer tops, so I hope to wear it more later or.. buy some matching clothes earlier 😉
The ropes are crocheted with 5 TOHO 8/0 beads, Opaque Lawender, Ceylon Grape Mist and Opaque Light Beige.
It looks like I only crochet with beads now, but it is not true at all. I am also making a set of 4 hand fans for a lovely bride from Ireland and her bridesmaids. I agree with her, that hand fans are great alternative to flowers, especially if the wedding is going to be in Spain 🙂 I hope to show you the fans in my next post.
And now, thanks for your visit and to the next post 🙂
I really like to make them, so created a few new ones.
The white with red hearts
The red one from the previous post
And all together 🙂 I think they look together as good as single
This red colour is a little bit darker in real. I couldn’t catch it on photos, but I am still learning my beloved Nicon.
I am making 3 ropes now, in light beige and lavender, to make one big bracelet with all of them. Hope I’ll show it to you soon.
The blue and white one from the previous post is available in my Etsy shop
